Not dead yet
Tuesday, February 15th, 2011 06:46 pmFirst, I stayed away from LJ and Dw because I was too tired to stay upright for long enough to read here--too tired, and with a brain too unwilling to refrain from doing odd things like hallucinating bagpipe music while I was in the shower, or exchanging ordinary emotions for something entirely unrecognizable. Then, I did have some energy and more rational brain activity again, but I recognized that I had better use it for stocking up on foods and library books while I still could because it was inevitable that I would end up with the flu after a housemate caught it. So now, of course, I've got the flu, and I am still not up to following what's going on in the world. Will try to get back to you all some day soon, but I'm afraid it won't be today. I do hope you're all doing well out there!
This year I was amused when I realized that I'd spent Valentine's Day reading a book titled Alone! Alone! Today I made up for it by listening to Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet" suites, which I really should do more often.
If my recovery from the flu follows my housemate's course, then I'll still be coughing four days from now, but I should have most of my brainpower back. Something to look forward to.
Be well, all of you.
