O brave new world that has such beverages in't!
Friday, January 27th, 2006 01:23 pmThe Campbell Soup Company, makers of V-8 100% vegetable juice, have come out with a brave new beverage: V-Fusion. Each 8-ounce glass of V-Fusion counts as a full serving of fruit and a full serving of vegetables! Why? How? It's a fruit-vegetable fusion! You can have a glass full of strawberry and tomato, sweet potato and banana--all at once!
This has nothing to do with LJ Rabbit Hole Day. The V-8 people actually came up with this product, and I actually bought the strawberry-banana flavor. I'm not at all sure which fact scares me more. (Curiosity is a dangerous thing.)
For those of you wondering: the juice does taste like strawberry and banana... and a bit of tomato. A tomato may be a fruit in the botanical sense, but I remain unconvinced that it has any business mixing it up with bananas and strawberries.
