One of my earliest friends on LiveJournal, Nalidoll, died yesterday.

In one of her last posts, she said, "This year is for me." I don't think this is what she had in mind.

And to me as well, even when I should have known better than to take her presence for granted because even though all individuals eventually make their exit, she was unlikely to have a long life.

I had actually been wanting to log back in over here and start catching up (this winter has been full of pointed, poignant, lessons)... and before I made the change from potential to kinetic energy regarding it, I got the news from Ri.

More lessons in that, I'm sure.

For one thing, I'm back over here where people can actually take a breath, have a conversation, and step back from the clickybox/tickybox/internet argument machine a bit.
