Evil linkage of the day

Do not visit this link if you are easily offended by bad propaganda from people who oppose your views on abortion. Do not visit this link if you are easily offended by bad propaganda from people who share your views on abortion. Do not visit this link if you are disturbed by anything related to abortion at all. Do not visit this link if you are offended by bad stereotypes, either. Probably the only people who should visit the blog post linked to below are people with perverse senses of humor, which I know some of you have:

Super Happy Fun Abortion Time (image-heavy).

Fetuses go "thunk" in the womb? Who knew?

I know! You would have thought that God or Nature would have thought to provide some kind of fluid or other cushioning in the womb to protect the fetus from thunkings. Poor be-thunked fetuses.

Who woulda thunk it?

Of course the pro-choice woman in their comic is black. But that's just coincidence. They're not tipping their hands to the profoundly racist motivations of the anti-choice agenda at all, there. Nu-uh.

I hate to break it to you, but "Abortion Eve" was a pro-choice comic from 1973. You can see the whole thing at this website. Sadly, bad stereotypes really aren't limited to one side of the issue.

1973? Well, that explains a few things...

Considering myself someone with a perverse sense of humor, I clicked on that link. Whoa. Why did I do that?

“On the 13th anniversary of Paul Hill's act of love and mercy, memorial events will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to honor him as God's man and our hero."

WTF??? That is so many different shades of fucked-up that I got a headache reading it.

Then I actually got to the "Comics" part. I haven't laughed that hard all year long. I nearly fell out of my chair. It took me almost ten minutes to compose myself after...“A pelvic exam is when the doctor examines your "inside* female parts with his hands and a medical instrument. A cross between a walnut-cracker and a grip-exerciser, which I have affectionately dubbed: "the vagina-duck".

Other favorites include:

“At three months, the fetus can comprehend English enough for it to react to hearing its mother discussing abortion with her doctor. If you happen to be a fetus in this kind of situation, it is recommended that you attempt to fake your death.”

“An abortion is not like a tonsil operation, as tonsil operations don't involve miniature cocktail swords.”

“Catholic women that grew up in the Barrio will occasionally string together stale Pringles in order to create a makeshift rosary.”

Perverse sense of humor, indeed.

Well, darn...

Yeah, the Paul Hill bit is just... I wish I could feel sympathy or something for people who can call him a hero, but mostly I want them off my planet. Not dead, mind you, but helping to found a Mars colony or something.

The comics amused me much more than they really should have.
