Update

Migraine pretty much went away, finally. On Sunday I was even able to go dump books in the library drop-off, go to church (ten minutes late, which was about twenty minutes earlier than I would have liked (they were playing too much music from the 1880s, not my favorite decade)), escape my parentheses (oh wait, that was today), come home for lunch & some rest, go to the library again, grab some food at the supermarket, and come home. Aside from nearly passing out in church, this worked out well for me.

Monday: Tired. Read library books. Never left the house. Barely left my room.

Today: Wanted to get out of the house early enough to do a few things what need doing, but my body had other plans. Finally went to the grocery store again this evening so I could get the chance to dodge shopping carts and cranky customers in the bread aisle. Had fun conversations with the other folks in line. Now it's time for me to decide whether supper should be liver & onions or French toast. (No, I am not combining the two. Not this time.)

So, what's everybody doing for Thanksgiving? I've got no plans as of yet. I've got the makings for French toast, though, so I can be thankful for that.

I did cranberries from scratch, too! It was my first time.

I posted the recipe, if you're curious. I'd maybe go a little lighter on the orange juice. They're tasty enough, but they're pretty damn far from a can of cranberry jelly, so might surprise a few people.

Oh yes. My family likes to do some interesting things with cranberries--things involving nuts and alcohol and other stuff Ocean Spray won't put in a can. Other people make cranberry relish with horseradish or onions(!), which can be quite tasty as long as you're not expecting a simple jelly.

Ooh neat! The recipe I have (which was on the bag) doesn't call for any oranges or lemons. I don't have any lemons and can't get to the store in time now :-(. But I do have plenty of oranges so I think I'll throw some in there! Thanks for the recipe! :-)
