Bleargh.

I really don't like summer.

Have managed to make a few phone calls today, but they don't change the fact that I can't afford to go get tests done. Am trying not to panic, since panic takes energy and does not accomplish a thing anyway. I've done what I can for the moment.

Now it's time to drag myself out of this hot room into the sunshine. Either I'll melt into a fizzy puddle or I'll get myself to a nice, air-conditioned library. Wish me luck!

Sounds like what we're expecting here, although last night they were saying the *real* temp would get to 105. I'll have to check on http://www.wral.com/

Summer is hell. We should all move to New Hampshire.

Yes, I'd love to move north. Somewhere far, far away from the equator...

Pick here. We got rid of the heat wave.

Weather's nice here today! Probably won't last long, but I'll take it while I can get it.

And if you get one of those thunderstorms, it'll only get worse when the sun comes back out. It'll be like a sauna.

Actually, there's a cool front that's supposed to come through tonight. Tomorrow should be almost tolerable--which doesn't change the fact that today is miserable and I don't wanna leave the library now that I'm here.

I expect you made it to the cool library.

Oh, the Oddly Hyperactive Birds, are my favorite indy band right now.

Man, you are Quicky Mclink today.

What can I say? I'm on *fire* today. It comes from spending entirely too much time downloading gigs of files from one server to another at work. Yes, that's my job today.

I am at the nice, cool library now, yes. Haven't managed to sleep here yet, though I was lying down on the floor about half an hour ago.

Is it possible to get a private reading room, and sack out?

Nah, I don't even know if they have any truly private rooms, at least not ones you can get without a reservation. I just consider myself lucky I could get on a computer. Tried reading bookses, but my concentration is shot.
