Wheeee!

More snow! Not that it's snowing now, not really--but it snowed enough inches last night to make it a classic winter wonderland without making it impossible to go anywhere. And so I'm listening to Christmas music on Launchcast and after hearing the Waitresses doing "Christmas Wrapping" I almost feel ready for the holiday. Of course I'll probably be sick of holiday tunes by the time Dec. 25 rolls around and will go around singing Greg Lake's "Humbug" if anyone so much as hints at holiday cheer, but for now I'm not complaining. Nope, I'm looking out the window and watching a few stubborn leaves clinging to a tree outside while the breeze sometimes blows snow around in explosions of glitter and sometimes sends snow to the ground in big lumps. This is a good time for staring out windows, listening to music, and sipping hot tea.

(For those who care: Made more phone calls yesterday, spoke to lots of voice mail boxes, got notification in the mail that social services wants a piece of information they've never even asked for before, and found out a new person at the law firm is working on my Social Security case.)

Seems like so much durned run-around for that stuff! Good luck with it all!!

And man, you make the snow sound so nice and homey :) Sounds like a grand time you are having ....

Thanks for the good luck wishes! It is an awful lot of run-around for this stuff, and I have yet to get a good explanation of why I didn't get benefits back weeks ago. Grrr.

The snow's still looking pretty out there, even though some of it's gone, what's left is glowing with a sort of golden color in the morning sunlight, and there's this pale blue sky above without a cloud that eye can see. Can't tell that I'm a fan of winter, can you?
