Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 10:40 pmToday I considered going out for a walk, thinking of all the groceries I'd like to buy, the glasses I need to attempt to order, the library books constantly calling my name. So I stood at the window, thinking, feeling how tired I was, noticing that there was a leftover bit of migraine in my head, looking out at the unseasonably cool and breezy world, and my primary thought was: No.
Days like today are why I stock up on canned foods. I don't like eating canned foods if fresh are available, but I'd rather have some over-salted soup than nothing at all. (I do have fruits and vegetables left here, but collard greens, kiwi fruit, and an apple do not make a meal.)
Also on the plus side: We no longer have to worry about running out of heating oil; which is good because, while I do like wintry weather, I also like to be able to feel my fingers and toes. Hooray for heat!
I spent entirely too much of the day reading news stories and blog posts. People are weird.
