I can has chiken soup nao plz?
Friday, September 28th, 2007 11:19 pmI could tell you about the congestion, the nausea, the dizziness, the sore throat, and the sheer bloody not-quite-exhaustion, but perhaps the real measure of how sick I am is that I went to the library today and checked out: nothing at all. Frightening.
Yes, I did drag myself out for a bit of a walk even while the body was making it clear that it was time to rest. It was necessary, though--how can I even hope to make chicken soup if there's no chicken? Then again, there were no decent-looking garlic heads or sweet potatoes in the supermarket, so there's still no chicken soup. It was worth a try.
It's surely all because of the doctor's appointment earlier in the week with all the germy little kidlets running around the office. At least the general oogieness gave me good excuse to sit around making phone calls trying to get paperwork foulups straightened out.
