Saturday, August 19th, 2006 11:45 pmThursday evening, I described myself as "rapidly approaching that kind of exhaustion where you either have a mystical experience or become sick as a dog, without having any real choice in the matter."
What actually happened is that I became very feverish and spent most of yesterday curled up in warm blankets in bed (in about a 90 degree bedroom). Today was better, though I still couldn't honestly say I've been functional. Also had many fragmentary dreams, some of which came true by the time I woke up--though not, alas, the one where we had an unexpected, deep, beautiful snowfall here. We may have to wait a few months for that one.
I've also been experiencing an intense, seemingly physical need for the music of Kevin Gilbert. One of these days I hope to get to hear The Shaming of the True. In the meantime, Thud and the Toy Matinee and N.R.G. stuff will do quite nicely.
