hummingwolf: Snowflake-like kaleidoscope images (Kaleidocoolth)
You want to buy Valley of Shadows by the amazing Frank Fradella. Yes you do. Frank ([livejournal.com profile] newbabel) is an amazing writer and the book's on sale, okay?

You also want to buy Rantus Dark and the Unspoken Children by [livejournal.com profile] verian Thomas, because Verian is a very twisted man and should be kept busy writing so he doesn't cause any more trouble.

It's just been finished and I suppose you can't buy it yet, but you know you want to own a copy of any comic with a cover like this, right? Of course you do. (Check out [livejournal.com profile] hai_kah_uhk's LJ memories for her very nifty Saga too.)

And if you're poor (like me) and can't spare any pennies for the above (though the Saga is free to read anytime you want!), you can read the engaging online comic Sordid City Blues by [livejournal.com profile] mister_wolf (no relation).

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] gurdonark has had a cool (nifty) poem published in a cool (wintry) online publication. Details here. Go forth and read.

hummingwolf: squiggly symbol floating over rippling water (Cuddly plush toy)
The baton was passed to me by [livejournal.com profile] coffeegrace, so it looks like I had better run with it.

1. Total amount of music files on your computer?
Not a whole lot, actually. Between mp3s and Real files, it looks like I've got fewer than 80 tracks on here. This computer doesn't have much of a hard drive, so I tend to get my music in streaming form rather than storing it on the computer.

2. The last cd you bought was...
A Vivaldi disk that cost a dollar. Been a long time since I bought any music. ::sigh::

3. What was the last song you listened to before reading this message?
Before re-reading this message, it was "Don" by Trilok Gurtu on one of my alternate Launch accounts.

4. Write down five songs you often listen to or mean a lot to you.
Just five? Aiiiieeee!

Okay, five tracks, not picked entirely at random:
1. Jonatha Brooke, "10 cent Wings." Been too long since I listened to that CD.
2. Talitha Mackenzie, "Chi mi na Mórbheanna/JFK."
3. Nik Kershaw, "Find Me an Angel."
4. Martyn Bennett, "4 Notes."
5. Bel Canto, "Shoulder to the Wheel."

That was pretty random after all. Though next time someone asks, I'll try to be less melancholy.

5. What new music are you really excited for in the coming year so far?
Haven't an inkling of a clue, sorry.

6. What 5 people are you going to pass this baton to and why?
1. [livejournal.com profile] shaharazad, because I remember he likes the Story but can't remember much else of his tastes.
2. [livejournal.com profile] daisydumont, because she she wants to. :-)
3. [livejournal.com profile] musesfool, because there might be some amusement value when she tries to pick just 5 songs and her brain explodes.
4. [livejournal.com profile] heliwood, because I'm curious.
5. [livejournal.com profile] jennixen, because she too listens to Nik and Talitha.
