I hate whining
Thursday, February 10th, 2005 02:30 pmso I hope that this post will get it out of my system for a while.
After a few days of (finally!) not having coughing fits, was kept awake last night because of, among other things, coughing. Also had more than the usual amoung of pain and muscle twitching to keep me awake, not helping my mood any. Though I feel like I got about two hours of sleep last night, it was probably more like four total. Am surprisingly alert given the circumstances.
Muscles hurt. Throat hurts. Skin hurts. Nose is running. How did it find the energy to go running today? ::whine::
My Yahoo! Mail won't let me see the mail today unless I engage in strange contortions and do the hokey-pokey. One entire folder where I keep old mail is apparently empty while at the same time containing 1722 messages. My Inbox contains 12 messages, 16 of which are unread, though the Inbox view will only show me the first 50. There are no typos in the previous sentence. Yes, Yahoo is acting funky like George Clinton but without the soul.
Still no money or information from the folks at social services. This is beyond frustrating. If I had the energy to walk to and sit in their lobby today, I would; as it is, I'll be leaving more messages on somebody's voice mail.
On the plus side:
The clothes dryer has been fixed and I now have clean, dry sheets.
There are two telephones at my disposal and both are functioning within expected parameters. This could change in a week, but for now I've got no complaints there.
I am currently getting along tolerably well with all known relatives.
Unsweetened baking chocolate melted together with a little honey and sprinkled with spices makes a nummy treat.
