Of potential interest...

...for the next few days, anyway: Just created a syndicated account for votefraud04rss, which gives you the feed for www.votefraud04.com, "The weblog that wants to disappear." The site is an offshoot of World magazine, a Christian conservative mag, but the blog itself may be of interest to people anywhere in the US political spectrum who are concerned about possible election fraud.

And now I need to go away and deal with bureaucracy again. Oh joy. I wish it were Halloween already--then I would have an excuse to go to their offices and say "Trick or treat!"

The life of Hummingwolf, continued (not-very-interesting update)

Yesterday, I knew I had an appointment scheduled for some ridiculously early time, but could not recall which ridiculously early time it was. So I tried calling the office, got the annoying voice mail system, rinse lather repeat, gave up and took a shower. When I got out of the shower, a genuine human answered my call and let me know that my appointment was in 15 minutes. Letting her know that I'd be a bit late, I dashed out of the house dripping wet, ended up combing the tangles out of my hair on the Metro (earning me the dirty looks of a fellow passenger), and managed to get done everything I needed there. Had planned to deal with bureaucracy afterward, but ended up too tired & hungry to deal with lines at that point.

So today, went to tackle the bureaucracy, which took much less time than expected. Now, of course, I wonder if something went horribly wrong. I had considered calling to cancel my appointment for today, figuring that the red tape would take too much time out of my day. Yet amazingly I ended up being on time! Yes, I was right on time

to find out that the person supposed to meet with me had tried calling to cancel due to illness.

So I hopped back on Metro, went grocery shopping, came home and filled myself with fried catfish and fresh kale.
