It's so secret even I don't know about it!
Thursday, May 8th, 2003 01:43 pmIn the mail today, a letter addressed to me, no return address. Postmark from Reston, VA. Hmmm.
"Thank you for your interest in employment with the Central Intelligence Agency. We have received your resume and will review it against our current hiring requirements. If we find a match between your expertise and our employment needs, one of our recruiters will contact you...."
Of course I haven't sent out any resumes since last year, seeing as I finally realized I can't get anyplace reliably enough to hold down a real job. No idea if this is a mistake or if someone actually did send them my resume (several different people could have, thinking they were being helpful). Somehow the thought of the CIA having my resume and there being even the remotest possibility of them contacting me for possible employment amuses me greatly.
It's a good sign that my first reaction to this letter was laughter rather than tears.
