(no subject)

Looking over my past LiveJournal entries, I see that there are some examples of beautiful prose I can hardly believe I wrote mixed in with lots of really prosaic prose and some sleep-deprived babblings of minimal coherence showing little evidence of knowledge of the English language. Sounds about right for a diary.

In other news, I have no other news. But in the newsy news I read that nearly half of Americans surveyed think the First Amendment goes too far, which fact would depress the Hell out of me if I were awake enough to process it.

Panic mode

Does anybody know of any part-time jobs available to someone with no work experience that are near DC Metro stations and don't require driving or standing for long periods of time? Hello? Please?

The phone call yesterday left me optimistic, but looking at the state of my finances right now sent me straight into panic mode. I hate panic mode.

Y'all don't mind if I hyperventilate for a while, do you?

One of the departing housemates just told me he plans to give me a couple of grocery store gift cards so I can keep eating for a while.

Darn it, how am I supposed to become a pessimist when people do things like this?
