Panic mode
Does anybody know of any part-time jobs available to someone with no work experience that are near DC Metro stations and don't require driving or standing for long periods of time? Hello? Please?
The phone call yesterday left me optimistic, but looking at the state of my finances right now sent me straight into panic mode. I hate panic mode.
Y'all don't mind if I hyperventilate for a while, do you?

*psst* what about in-house nanny positions? too much energy req'd? at least you'd have room and board covered eh? tho your house situation sounds spiffo....

I wish I knew how to get someone to pay me to do things. I've never managed to get a paying job before, and I really don't know exactly how it's done... argh. Lots o' people have my resume now, but nobody's expressed any interest in having me do anything for money, though several would love to have me as an unpaid intern. Blech.
As for the hooking thing--well, erm, I think that once a "girl" has as much grey hair as I do, she's expected to have more experience than I have. Even in bad light, I don't think I'd pass for a 16-year-old anymore. ::sigh::
::hugs:: back
Most nanny positions would require waay too much energy, I'm afraid. Though a few years ago I did have a once-a-week thing where a woman paid me to sit in the house with her husband for a few hours to make sure someone was there to call 911 if he had a heart attack or something. Since the guy was perfectly capable of taking care of himself & spent the time reading the paper or paying his bills, that job required absolutely *no* skills at all. Too bad I can't find another job like that easy that pays enough money to live on...

all suddenly thought: cover the grey with "nice and easy".
