hummingwolf: Drawing of a creature that is part-wolf, part-hummingbird. (Hummingwolf by Dandelion)

Festoon the impecunious lightning with delight!

Had a delightful day yesterday with [livejournal.com profile] daisydumont, [livejournal.com profile] danalog, two humans without LiveJournals (Gerry and Ted), and Zack, the dog in cat disguise. It was wonderful to sit around talking, watching videos, and eating pasta, sweet potato snacks, and ice cream containing the maximum amount of chocolate allowed by law. Thanks so much for inviting me, Ms. Daisy!

After getting home in the evening, I read a bit of some library books (due today). When I realized that I was having trouble keeping my eyes open, I decided to take a short nap that lasted over 10 hours. Hmm, it seems I'm still somewhat sleep-deprived.

(The title for this post came from the poetry magnets over at [livejournal.com profile] daisydumont's house yesterday. I had nothing to do with it. In case you wondered, I am also not responsible for "caterwaul our trenchant platitudes.")

well, since i didn't stick those lines up onto the Magnetic Poetry board, and you didn't, it must've been (drumroll) the ghost of Wm. Shakespeare his ownself! i'll leave it there for posterity, in case the BBC comes knockin' on my door demanding to have a look at it. ;D

we were delighted to have you festooning our humble hovel. :)

Hm. I'm not so sure old Bill would've phrased things in quite that way. D'you think it could've been Zack after all? If he's truly a dog disguised as a cat, there's no telling what else he's been up to.

haha, well yeah, maybe he's just puttin' us on with this stooopid act. ;D

Yep.

Unfortunately, the relatives still have e-mail.

But spending time with friends: Priceless. Definitely.

At least now you can deal with the relatives on your terms. And I do think you should try that avenue for help. Just do it your way.

Woohoo! That sounds like a grand day!! I imagine a day at Daisy's house would be just the ticket for a good relaxation with wonderful company. Watch your mail. Ken's mailing a package for me today. Flip through the pages. Love, Me.
