Very tired, though I think I'm getting better finally. Not "better" as in physically better, but more psychologically able to play with the cards I've been dealt. Or possibly better at retreating into denial of my situation again.
Didn't get much done this week--there were two or three days in a row when I didn't bother to leave the house, followed by two consecutive days I managed to walk 2.6 miles without collapsing or anything (today the walking was done after our seven inches of snow had melted to a more walkable five or so). Learned that these walking boots don't fit that well after all. Ouch. Not that any shoes I've owned in the last few years would have been comfortable slogging through the eerie landscape the snowplows created beside the main road (made eerier by the red glow of a setting sun) which made me feel like an intrepid explorer walking through the inhospitable terrain of an alien planet--or would have if there hadn't been cars, trucks, and buses passing by five feet away, though those can be seen as alien life forms if you adjust your perceptions properly.
There's more I wanted to write. It will have to wait till I've had some rest.

Walking through snow is fun! It's great exercise. The problem yesterday was that I wasn't walking through fresh snow, but walking through big lumpy snowdrifts created by snowplows.
Objectively speaking, things *aren't* looking up. I still don't know how I'm going to keep living. Heck, I don't even know how I'm going to pay my phone bill so I can keep babbling here. But for some reason I've stopped sitting around crying all day, and I'm glad of that.
