Today's update

Today the always-delightful [livejournal.com profile] daisydumont braved the Arctic cold and took me shopping & then had lunch here with me. I enjoyed it muchly and was glad for the company. Hooray for Ms. Daisy!

Aside from writing a few e-mails, didn't do a whole lot the rest of the day, but my mood's still better than it had been so there's hope I can do something useful tomorrow. Unless I get killed by a falling meteorite or something, 'cos you never know when that could happen.

Did read a tiny bit of a novel checked out from the library. Will not reveal which book it is as I'm deeply ashamed I never even started it before. Will say that I'm enjoying it so far. I keep forgetting to remember that good fiction is good for the soul.

She surely is. The meteorite hasn't struck me yet, but the day's still young. Never know what could happen next.

Arctic cold is right! brrrr. but hooray for hummus and good conversation! :)

Hey, you've been autographing meteorites? Cool! What kind of pen do you use for that? How does the ink survive entry into the atmosphere?

listen, get yourself one of those indelible laundry markers, and you are set for life. or death by meteorite, heck, that too. i swear by those things. jeff uses one to mark on the cds he burns. they have the abshire stamp of approval. haha!

How great that you got to go shopping together today! I would have much rather been with you two. C'mon. Tell the name of the book.

We only went to the grocery store yesterday--the weather was much too cold for us to hunt for some cool place to shop in. Still, as I said to Ms. Vicki, "Who needs cool when you've got cabbage?"

[identity profile] daisydumont.livejournal.com 2003-01-24 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
hey, the cabbage was so good steamed with a little ultra-sensible anti-cholesterol "margarine" stuff, that gerry ate two servings and raved. yeah, who needs expensive! :)

but i tell you, now i have this craving for hummus. :D
