Had a decent afternoon talking to one of the people trying to help me find a job. I feel more hopeful now that I may one day be able to get a job, assuming I don't get kicked out onto the streets for nonpayment of rent first.

Oh, again in the spirit of the Halloween season: Someone who used to live on this street once gave me some chocolate he'd gotten at a dinner for volunteers at a funeral home (or something like that). It was a little dark chocolate coffin with a chocolate skeleton inside and a chocolate rat on top. Very cute!

say, how's trix at the haunted mansion in the woods? are they doing really well? with this awful weather, i bet they've had fewer people. supposed to clear up though.

They've only been open on the weekends so far. I haven't heard from anyone involved how they did this weekend, but it sounded to me like they either did well when it wasn't raining (maybe they just had some enthusiastic screamers visiting, though). Not sure if they're open Halloween night or not. If they are & it isn't raining, I hope they do well. There are something like 24 actors working there & it sounds like they've all had a lot of fun.
