'Tis the Season

In the other spirit of the season, please join me in eating waaay too much chocolate.

Had a decent afternoon talking to one of the people trying to help me find a job. I feel more hopeful now that I may one day be able to get a job, assuming I don't get kicked out onto the streets for nonpayment of rent first.

Oh, again in the spirit of the Halloween season: Someone who used to live on this street once gave me some chocolate he'd gotten at a dinner for volunteers at a funeral home (or something like that). It was a little dark chocolate coffin with a chocolate skeleton inside and a chocolate rat on top. Very cute!

say, how's trix at the haunted mansion in the woods? are they doing really well? with this awful weather, i bet they've had fewer people. supposed to clear up though.

They've only been open on the weekends so far. I haven't heard from anyone involved how they did this weekend, but it sounded to me like they either did well when it wasn't raining (maybe they just had some enthusiastic screamers visiting, though). Not sure if they're open Halloween night or not. If they are & it isn't raining, I hope they do well. There are something like 24 actors working there & it sounds like they've all had a lot of fun.

you are too wonderful for the universe to have forgotten. they are caring for you. they send me lovely little white spiders when i fear falling, to let me know i am part of the universal web, they catch me when i fall (oops, bad grammar, no, the spiders don't catch me!! ;) ) i wonder what lovely "good luck" charms they send you, dear hummingwolf??

It's even better to feel hope. Now if only I can get some sort of an income before the landlord kicks me out rather than after, I'll be all set.
