It's snowing!
It's snowing!

No-one who hasn't seen me walking in a snowstorm could know how happy this makes me. Let's just say that I'm good for hours of amusement in weather like this. Of course, this being the DC area, the grocery stores will all be out of bread, milk, and toilet paper, while everyone I meet on the streets will be some non-DC-native complaining about how DC drivers don't know how to drive in snow, all of these non-natives conveniently forgetting that the vast majority of "DC drivers" they're complaining about aren't from around here either.
Now, what shall I do on this splendiferous day? A friend was going to take me to a movie, but she seems to have forgotten about me entirely, so that's out. Shall I go to the grocery store for the essential cereal, hot cocoa mix, and facial tissues? Walk around the historic part of town admiring all the snow-covered old houses? Spend all day listening to Launchcast? Oh, not one of those is something I can do all day long, so I guess I'll be reading some of those library books I checked out in a fit of enthusiasm last week (books on fairy tales, mirrors, kaleidoscopes, hummingbirds). Then again, I can play with the latest POV-Ray 3.5 beta, see what fun new textures & shapes I can make.
Okay, between all of the above and spending entirely too much of my time surfing the net to make up for the time this week being spent at a job that doesn't even pay, I think I have a plan for the day. Yay!
