As summer draws to an end...

...ah... ah... AHCHOO!!!!!

Bah. Blasted ragweed.

Anyway, allergies aside, I am doing relatively well and I am back online, largely thanks to [livejournal.com profile] hasufin and a ritual voiding of the computer's warranty. I've actually had internet access since Saturday night, but was still stuck in the habit of talking to people offline and so wasn't doing much here in the digital world. Will try to get back in the swing of things soon.

Today, though, will probably be spent at the library, since their air is filled with far fewer pollen grains than the air here at home. Not sure if the ragweed is feeling friskier this year than usual, but I know I'm not used to seeing those fine grains of pollen covering cars so thoroughly as they are this year.

So, now that I'm back: How is everybody doing? And how many of you LiveJournallers have begun to switch over to Dreamwidth? (I'm hummingwolf on there as well, if any of you haven't noticed yet.) Anyway, it's time for me to begin to think about getting ready to do something useful with myself, so for the moment I'll stop babbling here. Have a great day or night, everyone!

welcome back! it's quiet around here. i keep forgetting to check my DW account, though, and likely never really will get up to speed with it.

So far it's not too hard to keep up with my DW reading list, because most of the people there are crossposting here anyway. I do keep forgetting to read the reading page, though.

http://www.dreamwidth.org is another journaling site. Since lots of people are upset with various LiveJournal changes, some people are moving to post over there rather than here on LJ. I just want to be able to keep up with all of them!

http://www.pollen.com is a site you can go to to find out (a) how high the pollen count is predicted to be in your zip code, and (b) what the predominant pollens are. If you find yourself itching, sneezing, coughing, or otherwise feeling miserable, the site can help you decide whether you're dealing with allergies or a cold, in case you haven't already figured it out.

thanks for the info! i went over and created a dreamwidth account. pretty interesting. i don't consider myself that creative except in my own head...but i appreciate creativity and art, etc. so i hope that counts for something!
