and there's rapture on a camel in blue

[Poll #1743192]

Finally, a note from MegaHAL:

Whence cometh such tender rapture?--
my head on his musical wing,
and the priest all shaven and shorn
that long, quiet life,
always like petals falling, falling,
claws a grave for me:

i whirled through transfigurations up and moving hosts
before partly because of the
rush of water.

may he become a grain of sand?

You can hope for a last-minute conversion! or you can hope that they'll decide to go looting and pillaging in some other neighborhood once the riots start. All hope is not lost!

You should have made multiple answers possible there.

I've been eyeing nice cars with Jesus fish on the back, just in case. You have to be careful around here, though, because whether someone has Jesus or Mary on the back window of their car/truck is almost more a gang affiliation thing than a religious declaration. Ahhh... Tejas.

Harold Camping says we have to make a choice. Just choose one of two possible alternatives. I was at least generous enough to give you more than two options!

Reading snark by people in earlier time zones who've seen no sign of a Rapture.

Also a valid lifestyle choice I should have mentioned in the poll.

wouldn't it be awful to find yourself in harold camping's company for eternity? eeek.

kudos to megahal, btw, for the semi-theological poem.

Possibly even Harold Camping doesn't want to be in Harold Camping's company for eternity, poor guy.

I was happy to see Hal coming up with something so nearly appropriate!

i totally agree. there's a Family Radio station at the end of the dial here. his voice in the night, answering questions from his throne of grace (or delusion, more like) has always creeped me out when i've happened across it. he's a terribly unattractive personality. ugh.
