Writer's Block: One last question ...

[Error: unknown template qotd]

The obvious person is Jesus of Nazareth. The one best question would take me longer to formulate--and probably wouldn't be anyone else's business anyway.

He'd undoubtedly find a way to answer the question with a question or a parable, of course. He never has been as fond of obvious, unambiguous answers as his followers tend to be.

Because I'm geeky: I would ask King Edward the Confessor to whom exactly he promised the succession. (One story is that he promised the crown to Duke William of Normandy, who invaded Britain to claim the throne. The other story says that Edward did no such thing, that instead he promised the crown to Harold Godwinson, who was - I believe - his nephew or somesuch.)

You're geeky? There are geeky people on LiveJournal?? Such things are permitted??? Shock! Horror!

It's good to hear from you. :-)

Well, perhaps I should have clarified. Because I'm a history geek. :P

Which again comes as a great surprise to anyone who's seen your username.

(Yeah, I've been playing stupid comment tricks this morning. Sorry about that.)

Some names are more revealing than others...

More obscure than I'd go. I'm debating between either asking Alexander who was supposed to inherit his empire, or Yeshua who should lead his Church.

Though maybe snagging that one caliph, Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah, and asking WTF happened to him would be nice.

Eh, the only reason I even know about the succession issues after Edward is because it related to a chapter in my thesis. But since it's pretty inarguable that the Norman invasion, and how it turned out, drastically shaped Britain's future... I thought it'd be fun to see if William had a *legitimate* reason for invading Britain.

Although now that I think about it, I'd also like to ask King Richard III of England what the hell happened to his two young nephews (famously known as the "princes in the tower").

there's more above than you could imagine being limited down here. I'm limited as well. That's why Christians tend to give limited answers, and they are unambiguous just because they (I'd better say "we" though) feel that there's a firm standpoint to clarify to everyone. And you can't clarify a standpoint with ambiguous phrases, well, unless you're a god.

Or

But to answer your question,

No, I had no intentions of ever creating that. Dim sims are pure evil. They were just summoned from a parallel Universe. I'm sorry.
