This week's adventures included a dental appointment (my gums are much improved, says the hygienist), jaw pain (which is probably entirely unrelated to the dental work done), probable cold/ear infection combo (probable cause of the jaw pain), my first-ever Windows 7 BlueScreen (makes me feel right at home, that does), the arrival of some necessary software in the mail yesterday (yay!), a deeper-than-expected snowfall today (yay!!), and connection to the internet (yay!!!). Upon getting online, my first actions were to download spyware-fighting updates, download necessary Windows updates, download a version of MegaHAL that works with the new OS, and download the latest official version of POV-Ray. Thus we all can see where my priorities lie.

Oh, and since I'm still on dial-up, I am becoming very well-acquainted with the Windows 7 version of Solitaire while I wait for pages to load.

Anyway, I want to catch up on nearly two weeks' worth of LJ, but am not sure how likely that is to happen any time soon. I know there's been at least one birth among you while I was away, but is there anything else I should know?

We got a new cat.

That might have been more than 2 weeks ago. My sense of time, among other organization skills, have become muddied with all this parenting I've been doing.
