About that duct tape...

There was this twelve-year-old boy at dinner, you see, and the hostess figured out that the duct tape restrained him more effectively than the bungee cords. Not so difficult to understand.

(The boy's younger sister also insisted that she wanted to be tied to a chair until it was pointed out to her that if she were duct taped that way at that time, she would be unable to feed herself pumpkin Hubbard squash pie.)

I still have more to say, but am too tired for the saying of it. For a change of pace, instead of blaming medication or sleep deprivation, I shall blame the cold I seem to be coming down with. Here's hoping that tomorrow I will be either less bleary-eyed or more entertainingly loopy than I am this evening.

I think the most disturbing part was where I was sharpening a knife whilst said child was being affixed to the chair.

Well, we all knew the knife-sharpening was unrelated. 12-year-old boy is too stringy for good eating.

It reminded me of some tales of how my grandmother dealt with my brothers when they were young, but sadly we were in agreement that [livejournal.com profile] stardansr and [livejournal.com profile] hasufin's chandelier wasn't sturdy enough for what I had in mind...

[livejournal.com profile] hasufin asked a farmer to grow a Hubbard squash specially for him, which seems like a good benefit of being a regular at a farmers market.
