You know those mornings where you think you're just going to sit down and have a lovely cup of tea whilst surfing the internet, and you actually end up spilling all of the tea all over your bed and rushing around the house trying to wash your sheets, move your papers out of the way of stray liquids, clean the stains out of the family heirloom that happens to keep you warm on cold nights--all before breakfast? Yeah, it was one of those mornings.

On the plus side, the weather was beautiful--warm, sunny, generally springy, with violets, dandelions, tulips, and later-blooming ornamental cherries showing their colors. Oh, and the termites swarmed outside of the house rather than inside, though having termites on the back of the house was still a bit disturbing (yes, the landlord has been alerted). I've been very tired this week, but I did walk a couple miles today. Here's hoping I feel even better tomorrow--and that my caffeinated beverages behave themselves.

Spilling tea on the laptop would take talent since I don't even have a laptop. :-)

Thank you for the good wishes! So far one cup of tea has been drunk safely, so that's a good start.

Ah, somehow I read doing computer stuff and bed and equated it with having a laptop on the bed!

I wish! But no, my computer's on a desk at the foot of my bed. I have two choices for where to put my tea--desk or bed. Since I'm a bit clumsy and stained sheets are less upsetting than a ruined keyboard, I usually put my mug of tea on a (relatively) stable saucer on the bed.

I certainly hope so! Too bad about the tea stains in my sheets, though.

I know! The sheets were nice bright, cheery colors. They didn't need brown added to the design!
