Arghhhhhh

A couple days ago I finally found a way to open up my mouse and clean it without (I thought) doing it any damage.

Now I suspect that the dust inside was the only thing holding the mouse together.

Since the left mouse button is currently not actually working, I am having some little difficulty making my way around the internet. If you don't see me online for a few days--or if you do see me but I don't respond to you--please know that I'm okay, just trying to either find a new, working mouse or to get the current one working properly again.

Does duct tape play well with computer mice?

Only really small duct tape, and only if your problem is two components not sticking together like they ought to.

Hope your mouse feels better soon!

Well, my problem seems to be that some things in the mouse button area are farther apart/looser than they should be. Though both left & right buttons feel & look about equally loose to me, the right one works fine, but the left isn't working right now. I did bring things a bit closer together using some Scotch tape and the left button worked about half the time then; but then I re-did the tape in hopes of getting the button to work all the time, and now I can't get it working again. Bleh.

I have a feeling a new mousie is needed here. Poor mousie.
