Well, it's been a few days since I've been able to focus enough to update this thing. What's been going on in my world, you ask? Mostly it's been a time of migraines, with a little of the common cold to top it off. Saturday was one of those days that started out badly and, as I said to someone in IM, "and i ended up crying in the kitchen because i couldn't find my favorite frying pan and i was hungry and waaaa." It wasn't all bad, though--a housemate had friends over who were very nice and made some tasty cinnamon bread. The fact that the furnace worked well enough to keep the house at reasonable temperatures (or at least temperatures within a degree or two of the thermostat settings) on the coldest nights was welcome indeed. And even though it was proof that my storm windows aren't sealed as well as they should be, the frost on the bedroom windowpanes cheered me up with its lacy fractal patterns.

Is it time for a paragraph break yet? I honestly have no idea. Not a very major headache at the moment, but I could still use more brainpower. Perhaps it is time for more tea? Anyway, today's excitement was the fact that it snowed! Of course it didn't stick. That's okay, it was still good to see some flakes. Managed to walk to a grocery store for hummus, crackers, and baby spinaches, though I forgot to get any chocolate (woe!). Other than that, I've been spending much of the day playing with POV-Ray, listening to Jeff Black and Nik Kershaw CDs, and drinking tea. Here's hoping that tomorrow will bring more alertness, more energy, and less pain.

I'm sorry about the frying pan. I hope it reappears.

I hope you are more alert tomorrow. The world needs more lerts.

The frying pan actually did reappear after I left a note requesting its return. It was sitting happily in the dish drainer, freshly cleaned.

Not so alert yet. Maybe later.
