Writer's Block: So Long, Farewell

[Error: unknown template qotd]

Ahem. In the words of Nik Kershaw:

He was
Loud, proud, confident and wrong
Bold, positive and strong
Cold, sure but all along
He was loud, proud, confident and wrong
Bold, positive and strong
Cold, ignorant and brash
Flash, sure and all along
He was loud, he was proud, he was confident and wrong

I very much look forward to finding reasons to complain about President Barack Obama. :-)

I think vast throngs of people all over the world will feel better when we can add "gone" to that list.

Works for me! Given how many conservatives I've heard trying to use Clinton as a scapegoat after all these years (or, better yet, scapegoating The Sixties), it seems only fair to let Bush keep that job a while.

What I'll remember him for (top ten):

1. wrecked this country's finances beyond repair.
2. wrecked this country's world reputation beyond repair.
3. had father issues, quite willing to destroy cities to prove a point.
4. lied to start a war (there still are no WMD), quite willing to destroy the lives of those who tried to out him, e.g., Valery Plame.
5. Cronyism
6. possible shady dealings with his brother in Florida
7. possible shady dealings with Saudi Arabians
8. no interest in negotiating unless he thought he or his friends could make more profit from negotiation than from destroying and rebuilding cities.
9. his beady little eyes
10. his sickening voice and affected texas accent.

I hear he can be quite charming in person. Not sure how much I believe it, but that's what I hear.

I know! Nik is so awesome, isn't he? :D
I've always admired his ability with words.

It's a shame Nik's never come to sing that song in front of the White House. Ah well, maybe now that we have a new president he'll feel more comfortable coming to the U.S. :-)
