Happiness Meme Finale
Yesterday (Monday) was the eighth and last day of the happiness meme period, and it was indeed a happy day. There was the weather--twenty Fahrenheit degrees cooler than Sunday had been, sunny and breezy and feeling like a day in March, which might explain why people were out in the nearby field flying kites. Not only was the day lovely, but I had enough energy to enjoy it and walked more than four miles. For the record, the Boccherini piece on the Master and Commander soundtrack is terrific music to have running through your head as you're out walking.
So, as I was walking, I was running errands. I'd be out enjoying the weather for a mile or so, then go into some store or other where I'd hunt for things in the hopes of finding something useful or tasty. I hope I had some success, though I haven't tested everything out yet.
Another happy-making thing: neighborhood Christmas lights! I know lots of folks out there believe holiday lighting should be tasteful; but in all honesty, I have a weakness for tacky multicolored displays with sparkly things and anatomically incorrect reindeer. It's cheery! Sure, some of those displays are just wastes of electricity, but they're still considerably less annoying than the latest overplayed pop version of an overrated holiday song, right? Day of happy things!
Good thing the happiness meme ended there, because today was full of fatigue and migraine and medication and much less fun. Today still wasn't all bad, though: tonight's House, M.D. repeat was an episode I'd missed when it first aired, and I'm glad to have gotten the chance to see an excellent ep I'd heard so much about. Now I'm hoping to get a good, long night's sleep, maybe with happy dreams of House & Wilson on a road trip.

wilson is robert sean leonard, right? (i'm too lazy to look it up or make sure i have his name right. he was in that robin williams movie about english teaching, i think?) is he supposed to be a real slut, or what? i've seen one episode now and demand the full story, all the seasons, in one paragraph!
well, no, i don't, i'm just being silly. wilson's pretty, though.

Yep, RSL plays Wilson, who isn't presented as a slut so much as a man who tends to fall in love with women in need and sleep with them, even if they happen to be his patients. Yet we all know that House is really his one true love!
Good thing you don't want the full story in one paragraph--I missed most of the first season myself. :-) And yes, Wilson is pretty, though this is one case where I'm not much attracted to the character. I'm mostly watching for the snark.

Hope you had the sweetest dreams of House last night!
