Happiness Meme, Day 3

Today's happy thing: Seeing and hearing a V of geese flying overhead as I was out walking. The birds were flying west, perhaps a little to the south--probably a flock that lives locally year-round rather than a gaggle getting a late start on their winter migration. Still very cool, though.

Also felt some value of happiness when I accepted the fact that I did not absolutely need to go anywhere today, since staying at home and resting gave me the chance to take migraine medication without having to worry about all those side effects that make it so difficult to walk anywhere without falling over. You can probably guess from the preceding what made me unhappy today. On the plus side again, though, it was pleasant to see a nice, Christmasy Bones rerun tonight. It's also good to sit here listening to Maggie Sansone & Ensemble Galilei's Ancient Noƫls CD while finishing a mug of herbal tea.

christmasy Bones? i tried watching one episode and failed, but it's clear i've missed an entertaining boat.

your medication makes you fall over? oh, dear, sorry to hear that. i'd bounce, but you don't have the padding i do. :/

Well, it took me a while to get into Bones, but the show's definitely grown on me over the years. The Christmas episode that reran tonight (from last year, I think) had a sweet, aww-inspiring ending. Very seasonal.

The headache medication does nasty things to my already-precarious sense of balance (as well as my ability concentrate, focus my eyes, or think coherently), so I take it only when the pain & nausea are worse than the expected side effects. After years of having nothing that really helped with migraines, I'm grateful for drugs that help relieve the pain; I just wish they'd leave me capable of doing something besides going to sleep once they kick in!

i really like david boreanaz, which was why i tried the season opener, but it was like jumping into something too far midstream. glad you liked this ep!

what a bummer about the side effects you describe. but it's good something cuts the pain for you.

Merry Christmas from AZ!

It almost snowed here. :) We were out taking pictures of mesas. The pictures will probably come out lousy, but we've never seen mesas in person before so we had to take pictures.

Thank you! Happy Boxing Day! It didn't come close to snowing here, but then we're not very close to any mesas.
