Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between escapism and preparation. You'd think it would be easy. At least it seems like it should be easy, like there really shouldn't be any difficulty in determining which of two very different things you are involved in. But maybe it depends on what you're preparing for. I wish I knew, but the less-conscious bits of my brain apparently feel I'm not ready to know yet, so I guess I'll just keep on listening to music and reading fantasy novels until something tells me that it's time to do something else.

I'm actually not sure if I am escaping the preparation, or if the preparation only looks like escape because I don't know what I'm preparing for. Am wandering in the state of Confusion, in other words.
