...got in touch with my Inner 12-Year-Old by reading a book about unicorns, browsing in a toy store, and seriously contemplating the purchase of some cute sparkly stickers.

...got in touch with my Inner Responsible Adult by scrubbing a few patches of the bathtub, replacing a shower curtain, doing laundry, and window shopping for handheld vacuum cleaners.

...got in touch with my Inner Slacker by spending too much time tonight wandering around on LJ.

...got in touch with my Inner Genius by walking around outside at local noon without having any sunscreen on. Okay, the "Genius" may not be quite the inner being I got in touch with there.

Oh, the inner shower curtain was sturdy enough and highly unlikely to shred in the wash. It was scary because the ecosystem that had developed upon it seemed to be immune to the effects of detergents or bleach. The only reason it hadn't been replaced long before now is that it took me this long to find the energy to scrub the bit of the tub it regularly touched: I didn't want any new curtain to be exposed to the lifeforms that had transferred from old curtain to tub. The tub & tiles still need some serious cleaning, though.
