I understand that many people believe this is a pointless election between tiresome candidates and that the results won't change the way thecountry site is run, but I must point out that many Americans felt the same way back in November 2000 and look what happened there.
Lest anyone doubt that this election is a serious affair, not only has
legomymalfoy posted that she was the one to receive the original "credible" death threat, but now
jameth says he has also been threatened. All this for an unpaid position that involves some communication with LiveJournal, Inc. and a free trip to Istanbul.

As for his supporters... yeah, it's a game for many of them. Where Jameth seems to be a fairly sane person with an empathy deficiency, many of the people who want him to win have no desire to stay in contact with reality--and more lacking in any empathy.
