Grrr

People who intentionally remove pages from library books should be declared traitors or terrorists or somesuch thing. They should be punished to the fullest extent of the law--any law--every law. Such people have no right to continue existence in a society which claims to be civilized.

Also? Self-appointed censors who black out "offensive" things.

Those too. But at least it's easier to read around something that's been blocked out than it is to try to imagine what was between pages 60 and 75... or between 110 and 117... or between 132 and 135... between 136 and 145... 148 and 153...156 and 159... you get the picture. Somebody seriously needs to be made to suffer.

Which book was this done to? I often saw it happen with "Our Bodies, Ourselves".

Yes, indeed!

Actually this one was a history book from the occult shelf. Somebody out there really has strong feelings about Aleister Crowley, which may be understandable but still is no excuse for mutilating library books.

I've also seen home improvement books with pictures carefully cut out. Gah. Stupid people.

I just don't understand why people have to be stupid and go vandalizing public property. Especially books! ::cries::

It's so nice to see people who think that they're entitled to deface library books for their own purposes, as if they weren't shared resources.

Agreed, that's just too rude.

Agreed.
