In other news, I still have a cold. No fever (temps have ranged from 98.0° to 99.2° F), but oh am I full of mucus. Tired, too, but most of that is probably a result of not being able to breathe at all well through my nose when I lie down at night. Here's hoping this doesn't morph into bronchitis. Breathing is a good thing.

So, what do you all have planned for New Year's Eve? Not wanting to cough or sneeze on any of my friends (or strangers on the Metro, for that matter), I'm planning to spend the evening here in my room, possibly turning on the TV in time to watch a ball drop. Maybe I'll get to the library before it closes to check out whichever books look appealing at the time, though that depends on whether the body is willing to walk that far or not. We'll see what happens.

I bet that somewhere online, somebody will have a webcam showing you something dropping. Not necessarily the Times Square extravaganza, but something.

Hmm. I've heard that the town of Lebanon, PA has a ritual involving a Lebanon balogna dropping from the sky on New Year's Eve. Wonder if you can find anything online to beat that for excitement? ;-)
