Heh. As xforge said: "Proof that the Vedic faiths will absorb ANYBODY'S icon and make it their own." From what I can find out online, this seems to have been part of a parade in the annual Ganesh Festival in Hyderabad City a few years ago.
From what I've found online, Spiderman Ganesh isn't meant as sacrilege at all. It was from the annual 10-day Ganesh festival in Hyderabad City a few years ago. At the end of the festival, all the Ganesh idols which have been paraded around the city are immersed in the lake. The only image of Spiderman Ganesh being immersed that I could find a link to seems to have been deleted, though.

Why no extra arms though? Parker actually did sprout two extra sets of arms for a while. (I know Ganesh doesn't traditionally have extra arms, but those guys'll add a pair or two whenever they feel like it, it sometimes seems.)
