(no subject)

I saw a dandelion blooming today! That's the first dandelion I've seen since, erm, early February. Winter's been cold this year, but it hasn't been very long.

Am still offline at home. Still trying to get myself to clean my room, but the arms do not wish to cooperate. Been reading books instead, though even paperbacks seem like a bit much for me to hold up. Stupid arms. Legs still work fine, which is why I'm here at the library and not at home being annoyed by my arms.

Yesterday, my brain kept torturing me with a combination of Siouxsie & the Banshees "Killing Jar" and Ashford & Simpson's "Comes with the Package." If I'm going to have two songs running through my head at once, can't they at least be two songs that go together? Songs from the same genre, at least?

Huh. Got a popup window telling me there were five minutes left in my internet session, clicked on it, then got another popup telling me that my session's been extended by 15 minutes. No idea why that happened, but I shan't complain.

The computer at home is busily rendering a POV-Ray animation, a demented flight through an old fractal landscape I recently realized I hadn't done anything with in years. It should probably get archived as "Baby's First Fractal Landscape," but it does have its charms.

Now Ashford & Simpson's song "Till We Get It Right" is running through my head. One song at a time is a good idea. Good brain.

Huh. I was sure I had something else to say.

hey there!

we've been having fat robins hopping about in our front yard.
supposedly a sure sign of spring.

We've seen robins here all year--I think they spend the winter here in Maryland. When they start nesting, then I'll know it's spring!

I hope I can get online soon too. Sure, coming to the library is a good excuse to get out of the house, but I can find good excuses to get out of the house anytime.
