Not Dead Yet

Had some very lovely days, but am now rather extremely tired. I'm trying to take good care of myself in case I'm fighting and infection of some sort, since this is for me the time of year when lack of energy tends to be followed by a cold or some other bit of unpleasantness. Will write more if and when I can find a few spoons.

Heh. Spoons are a popular metaphor among certain chronically ill people because of an article called The Spoon Theory. I had almost forgotten that most people aren't going to recognize that usage of the word "spoon"! :-)

Still tired. A housemate has a cold, so I'm drinking lots of orange juice in the hopes of not getting it too badly! How are you?

oh, i think i read that a long time ago but had forgotten! even getting old, i find, leaves me with fewer spoons than i used to have.

i'm doing ok enough, though the heating & cooling guy who came for my fall check-up this morning informed me that i'll likely need an entire new heating system this year (which will run into the big bucks). tempted to swear colorfully... i should've sold this house a long time ago. it weighs on me. but physically, i'm pretty much all right.
