Haves & have-nots

I have a cold.
I have a migraine.
I have no fever, for which I am grateful.

I have to locate a bunch of old financial records because
I have an early-morning appointment with Social Security later in the week.

I have no desire to go rooting around in old papers. Seriously.
I have an intense urge to procrastinate, which I partly justify because the migraine really does make it hard for me to see things, although that doesn't keep me from spending time on LJ because
I have the feeling that anything you guys have to say is going to be vastly more interesting than my old paperwork, and
I haven't got enough sense to just lie down and close my eyes now. Probably will later on, since the headache's likely to get worse if I keep trying to read.

I have a belly full of pancakes.
I also have relatively tight jeans, which means
I have some slight discomfort, though not enough to make me regret the pancakes.

I have a good view of trees and a house dusted with melting snow.
I have some uncertainty about whether "dusted" is the best word to use when referring to melting snow. In my experience, dust doesn't usually melt like that.

I have no chocolate.
I have tea.

Why no hot tea? Are you avoiding the caffeine, do you dislike the taste, or is there some other reason?

Pancakes were tasty. Not nearly as good as the ones my father used to make when I was growing up, but they were a good, relatively cheap way of filling my belly and pleasing my taste buds!

Not sure when I'll be able to get out and get a good supply of chocolates. Here's hoping it'll be soon.

How much snow did you get up there? We probably had less than an inch here, with nearly all of it melted by now.

i fell out of the habit of drinking hot tea . . . also trying to keep my daily
caffeine down to one large coke, pepsi,or dr. pepper a day . . . plus varying
amounts of chocolate depending on my mood . . .

too much caffeine makes my mania worse . . .

we only got a dusting last nite it was mostly gone by morning . . .
