The forsythias are starting to bloom. I've spent the afternoon watching robins as they search for food outside. Yesterday as I was walking, I saw my first dandelion of the year.

This joke's gone on long enough, guys: what month is it really?

Is that like a mortuary?

It's the month before Februapril,of course. Unless I'm thinking of some kind of mood medication.

Ha! If the weather changes tomorrow the way the prognosticators say it will change, the market for mood medication will probably increase for a while.

I thought, before, that it felt more like late October/early November than anything else. But tonight it is snowing and blowing and sticking and getting the roads all slippery here. So I might have to go with December.

Yeah, the weather's wacky all over. Tomorrow's supposed to be winter here, they say, and while I'm confident that the dandelions and forsythias will handle it, I feel a bit sorry for the daffodils.
