Not ignoring anyone
Many thanks to those of you who have commented recently! Also thanks to those of you who post lovely things in your own journals which I've wanted to respond to but haven't.
Thursday evening: Was very, very, very tired after I got home. Not up to responding to anyone.
Friday: Was enduring an evil, evil migraine. Did manage to get out for a walk and enjoy weather which would have been more appropriate for the opposite side of the year. "Are we still in the Northern hemisphere?" I wondered as I wandered in the warm, humid air. "Did I miss a memo?" But spent most of the day in bed, not responding to anyone.
Saturday: I think MegaHAL still has possession of most of my vocabulary. I may need to wrestle him to reacquire lexical control. (Also still a bit migrainey, but wrestling HAL sounds like more fun than dealing with the tail end of a migraine, don't you think?)
So anyway, I hope to talk to you again soon, but that may not happen much today. Much love to you all.

Now, with people who range from a housemate who wishes all winters were like the classic New England winters to another housemate who grew up in the Caribbean and likes the weather there, let's see how much arguing there'll be over thermostat settings this year. ;-)

feel better.
FWIW, the riboflavin thing has not seemed to help with my migraines, and I've been on it for a few months now at about 25 mg/day.
But maybe the dosage *is* meaningful. GNC is ordering in a 3 month supply of 100 mg tabs for me and I'm going to see if it works better at that dosage. I'll let you know if so-- it was like $11 for a 90 day supply.
Meanwhile-- did you know if you take three ibuprofen *and* two tylenol it can sometimes even kill the ibuprofen-proof monsters?
It was news to me...
and since one's metabolized by kidneys and the other by liver, you don't have to fret over damaging yourself.
Hope you're migraine free soon.

Thank you.
Thanks for telling me about the riboflavin. I haven't even tried any migraine meds recently because my doctor(s) have been waiting till I see a neurologist again to discuss whatever else might be going on. So I'm relying on the traditional method of lying down in a dark, quiet room... until I get restless and go out for a walk anyway. Oh well.
I've already got prescription-strength ibuprofen and some narcotics on hand--I don't know if adding Tylenol to the mix would be such a good idea!

Well, I hope the neurologist can get you some relief.
If you can find someone to rub your shoulders, that might help, too...
My worst migraines are when Dan's not around. He discovered *that* particular treatment. Worked pretty well.

Nobody here to rub my shoulders. I wish there were!
