Happy Halloween!

An old holiday favorite of mine: Terri Windling's Dusk, Dawn, and the Days of the Dead: Doorways into Other Worlds.

From today's New York Times, via [livejournal.com profile] musesfool: Ghosts in the Machines by Neil Gaiman.

It's a beautiful day, in the low 70s with clouds and sunshine chasing each other as leaves dance in the breezes, glittering in the light. I have candy. I don't know if any trick-or-treaters will show up this year, but I have candy.

Dusk, Dawn, and the Days of the Dead: Doorways into Other Worlds was wonderful. Thank you for sharing.

It's early afternoon and still only in the 40's here. Brrrr. It's going to be very cold for the little Trick-or-Treaters tonight.

but I have candy

You're welcome! I love that one.

It was warm enough here tonight that I could keep my bedroom window open and listen for kids coming up the street. Didn't want to leave my computer any more often than I had to, but I didn't want kids to have to wait too long for me to answer the door either!

You posted this comment at 6:40 my time. At that time, we still had Smarties, Hershey's Miniatures, and a Snicker's mix (there might've been a fun-size Butterfinger left too).

All the candy was gone before 8:30. No leftovers!
