While waiting for things to open...
Time for an updatey-type thing!
Thursday night: Went to a stitch & bitch at Lyssa's invitation, where I hung out with her, The Doctor, Ben, Mika, and new person Kate while stitching not a thing (and not bitching all that much). The Bard had originally planned to give me some dishes, but I went home with a comfy pillow and Kate's umbrella instead. 'Twas a good evening all around.
Friday: Returned some stuff to Target. Cleaned more bits of my room, with results which are not obvious to anyone but me. Am highly embarrassed to mention that I had lost a gift card a friend gave me about three years ago, but I found it again on Friday! It still had its full original value and there was much rejoicing.
Friday night featured the kind of spectacular sunset that makes you want to yell at all the drivers to pull off the road and watch the skies for a change. For a few wondrous minutes, the whole sky was covered in glory. You can't convince me that more than ten percent of those people had anything better to do.
Saturday: Gorgeous, splendiferous, simply delightful weather. I felt the need to continue cleaning my room (it's still very much a mess), but I also thought it was necessary to use some of my restless energy to go for a walk. When a housemate reported that the vacuum cleaner was spewing dust all over, I took it as a sign, put my walking shoes on, and went. The gift card was put too good use as I bought a salad and some Gatorade, then went to a local park to enjoy a little picnic. Flies were buzzing all over and some folks were arguing nearby, but that didn't mar the fun of the thing. A migraine kicked in and made the bright sunshine that much less pleasant to be in, so I had to cut my walk short. Got to see a cute little skink on a wooden bridge, though.
Saturday night: Still headachy. Slept pretty well, thanks to the cool weather and the fluffy pillow. The weather's supposed to be more summery tomorrow, so I need to find some good ways to enjoy today.

Sunsets and salads and skinks--oh my!!
Now why do I feel the sudden urge to sing "If I Only Had a Brain?"
