Note to Mouse

Dear little Mouse,

Are you trying to warn me of more seismic activity? I would appreciate the thought, but I've been told that the safest place for a human to be during an earthquake is in one's bed, and that is one place I have yet to spend time in tonight. So I'm afraid all your efforts are counterproductive.

Or are you trying to express your displeasure with the fact that there are more traps set out for you than there have been before? Well, you should know that I did try to get you to go into that nice humane live trap, and yet you ran away without trying the tasty bait. Really, just go back and step into that trap so I can take you away tomorrow to someplace where you won't have to deal with me.

Or are you trying to tell me that you're supposed to be the only nocturnal animal around here and I need to get into that bed? If that's the case, then again, I am afraid your efforts are counterproductive. Please, for both our sakes, just GO AWAY.

mickey or minnie

Or both! Where there's one mouse, there's a good chance another is around. I don't want any of 'em in my bedroom, even if they are just passing through.

My note to your mouse:

Die, you furry flea-bitten dirty little bastard!

I don't want it (or them) to die so much as leave the house... where it will probably be eaten by a predator, but that's the circle of life.

If mice leave a house alive, they can always come back - with more fleas and baby mice. Unless they get eaten by a nice owl or cat.
