Scattered update
I keep meaning to write something here, but then I forget what I wanted to say.
You don't want to know what my body's been doing the last few days. Let's just say that my insides have felt like they're tied up in knots while they try to eject whatever I've eaten recently, and it's all about as painful as it sounds. Been sleeping a lot until today, which probably means my body's been fighting an infection of some sort and isn't just being nasty for the heck of it. Did wake up early today, though, feeling rather a lot of energy which didn't actually do me much good. Bleh.
Had a dream last night in which I (or the person I was in the dream) had to kill someone who was visiting my home. This would have been traumatic if it weren't for the fact that I immediately switched to the viewpoint of someone reading a series of short stories, each told from the viewpoint of one of the dream's four main characters. I liked the plot well enough, but was annoyed by the fact that the four very different people were written in a way that made them all sound the same.
Today I have made some insightful comments on other people's entries, though of course all of those entries were behind filters so most of you can't see them. Without doubt, my very wisest comment was this reply to a different comment: "I would love to respond to this, except I can't quite figure out what you're saying." Sometimes the best thing to do is to admit cluelessness.
Public service announcement: It has come to my attention that many of you LiveJournalers out there still do not know that you can use ?style=mine on pages other than comment pages. So I'm telling you now: If you want to see someone's journal in your style rather than theirs (perhaps because their style takes forever to load or has a migraine-inducing color scheme), and you are currently using an S2 style, you can just add ?style=mine as in this example: exampleusername.livejournal.com/?style=mine
And if you want to see someone else's friends page in your style:
exampleusername.livejournal.com/friends/?style=mine
And if you want to see just the syndicated feeds someone is following, in your own style: exampleusername.livejournal.com/friends/?show=Y&style=mine
Typing up this semi-random post seems to have used up my last bit of energy for the evening, so I'm going to bed now. I just have to decide whether I want to wear a pink nightgown or a nightgown with moose on it. Decisions, decisions.
Good night!

I don't get to make those kinds of decisions. Mine go kind of like this -
"Damn, I need to wear something to bed because (someone) is here. What do I have that won't strangle me in my sleep?"
I sort of miss having nifty nightgowns. (Though I do have nifty pajama bottoms. I just wear them to the store and stuff, and not so much to bed.)

Heh. I don't actually have that choice, 'cos my hair seems to be plotting against me.
Anyway, I don't actually have many nifty nightgowns. My two fuzzy pink ones are awfully worn out by now, so the best one I have left is the one with the faded meese, bears, moons, pine trees, and... gah, some very faded things which I think used to be coyotes.

Will use the penguin icon for this comment, since I can't think of anything what looks less like a moose.
