Please pardon the goofy grin

This morning I tuned into one of my alternate Launchcast stations and heard the Elmo & Patsy classic "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer," a song which I, unlike sane people everywhere, actually like. But that's not why I've got the goofy grin. The track playing now is not, technically, a Christmas song--it's a large portion of a soundtrack. Artist: Boris Karloff; Track: How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Twenty-one minutes and forty-one seconds of narration and singing from a show I haven't been able to see in years. Now Grinchy Claus is sliding down the chimney! Whee! And now "You're as cuddly as a cactus, you're as charming as an eel, Mr. Griiiinch!" [Edit: Ooh, it's the whole thing, minus the commercial time? The Grinch's heart just grew three sizes!]

"Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" is one of my Christmas faves too, but I'm the kind of guy who sends out "Bah! Humbug!" cards.

I used to send those cards too, though only to people who seemed unlikely to be offended by them. Twisted things happening to Santa and/or reindeer were a favorite theme through my high school & college years.
