Goodbye, July!

The Washington, DC area's hottest month on record (so far) is finally over. Goodbye and good riddance to July 2011! Now, dear August, could you please be kind to us? We really could use some rain and much cooler temperatures. Would it be too much to ask for a few record low temps in the coming month?

As a local weather blogger asks: So when will this summer suckathalon end?
